See the Eight Fruit Pairs

The set contains two identical copies each of apple, pear, bananas, orange, strawberry, grapes, watermelon slice and pineapple. The red apple has a green leaf; the yellow-green pear narrows toward its stem. A yellow banana bunch and a round orange sit above the strawberry and purple grapes. The watermelon is a triangular slice, and the pineapple has a tall leafy crown. Look through the pictures together before turning them face down. Matching means finding the same fruit picture twice, rather than pairing fruits with similar colors.

Print One Sheet and Cut the Shared Grid

Choose A4 or US Letter to match your paper. Print in portrait orientation at actual size / 100%. Each card is 42 × 60 mm, and the card sheet already contains all sixteen cards, so print it once for a complete game. The complete PDF is two pages: cards followed by the guide. The separate downloads let you print only the part you need.

Use opaque card stock suitable for your printer, or glue the whole uncut card sheet to plain card. Let the glue dry flat before cutting. Check from the back that the fruit does not show through, and keep every back identical. Trim the outer rectangle, then cut the shared straight grid lines. There is no title or footer between the cards to work around.

Play a Small Round, Then Add Pairs

For a first round, choose two complete pairs, such as both apples and both pineapples. Put the other twelve cards aside. Shuffle the four chosen cards and lay them face down in a square. On a turn, reveal any two cards so everyone can see them. If they show the same fruit, keep the pair and take another turn. If they differ, turn them face down in the same places and pass the turn.

Actual memory printable: play a small round, then add pairs.

The guide illustration shows an apple match already revealed. Start your own game with all four cards hidden. For example, if an apple and a pineapple are turned up, remember their positions before covering them again. Do not shuffle the layout between turns.

Add more complete pairs when ready. All sixteen cards fit a four-by-four layout. Continue until every pair has been found; play together to collect the set or compare the number of pairs each player kept. A round can end in a tie. Count sixteen cards before storing them in an envelope with the guide.
