Hide six printed toy cards and let children find the pictures shown on their checklist. This indoor picture hunt includes a ball, kite, sailboat, rubber duck, train and teddy bear. All of the things being searched for are supplied as cards; you do not need to own those actual toys.

Prepare Cards and Checklists
Print one six-card sheet for the group and one checklist for each child. The cards share a two-column, three-row cutting block, with no heading or footer on the cutting sheet. At actual size each card measures 80 by 65 mm.

An adult trims the outside rectangle, then cuts the straight interior lines. Keep the checklists whole. Ordinary paper is enough for a first game; suitable card stock can make reusable cards. The guide is separate and can stay on a screen.
Set Up One Clear Search Area
Before hiding anything, agree on one indoor room or small area. Put all six cards where children can see and reach them without climbing, moving furniture or opening containers. A card can sit on a low shelf, against a cushion or beside a table leg while remaining visible.

This is a picture search rather than a puzzle route. There are no written clues to decode, and each card can be found in any order. Show the checklist before starting so everyone knows which pictures to look for.
Find, Match and Tick
When a child finds a printed card, compare it with the checklist and tick the empty box beside that picture. The card and checklist use the same artwork. Only one tick is needed for each of the six different pictures.
For several children, leave cards where they were hidden after each find. That lets every player finish their own checklist. If you are playing with one child and prefer collecting cards, place each found card beside its checklist picture instead; choose that rule before beginning.
Make a Shorter or Tabletop Game
For a shorter search, hide three cards and cover the unused checklist pictures with spare paper. Finish when the three visible pictures are ticked. You can also spread all six cards face up on a table and match them directly to the checklist, with no hiding.
After a full search, check for six ticks and six cards. Shuffle their hiding places for another round or keep the set together in an envelope. There is no timer, score or requirement to search quickly.
Choose the Right File
The complete pack has three pages: checklist, card sheet and guide. Separate downloads let you print additional checklists without reprinting the cards. Choose matching A4 or US Letter files and portrait orientation. Actual size gives the stated card measurements; fitting the page smaller still allows the hunt if all pictures remain clear.

You may print these files for personal, family and classroom activities. Share this resource page with another adult rather than selling or rehosting the PDFs.
