Polar Bear on Ice

The bear stands on four broad paws on a small ice floe. Rounded ears, a large muzzle and a short tail keep the shape simple. You can leave the bear white and colour the ice or background, or give it any invented body colour. The ice has a few broad divisions instead of a dense cracked pattern.

Arctic Fox and Fluffy Tail

The fox sits with two front paws below its face and a large winter tail curled beside the body. Broad tufts outline the cheeks, chest and tail. Try using one colour in the chest and another in the tail, or leave those regions white. The empty background can stay as it is without needing a snowy scene around the fox.

Walrus with Two Tusks

Two long tusks hang below the walrus's whiskered muzzle. Its rounded body rests behind two broad front flippers, with the rear flippers extending at the side. The large body area leaves room for crayons, while the face has smaller cheek and whisker details. Choose a body colour first and leave the tusks open or add a contrasting shade.

Resting Seal Pup

The seal pup lies low with its front flippers beside its body and a fanlike rear outline. Its round face, small nose and whisker dots make a compact picture. The body is mostly one broad coloring area. Try adding an imagined spot pattern or keep the colouring simple with one shade and a different nose colour.

Snowy Owl on a Branch

The owl grips a snow-topped branch with two feet. Its round head has no pointed ear tufts, and the folded wings have a few broad feather divisions. The snow and feathers can stay white while the branch receives colour, or children can choose an entirely different palette. The large eyes remain clear around their small dark pupils.

Arctic Hare with Long Ears

Two long upright ears rise above the hare's fluffy cheeks. The small front paws sit between larger back feet, and a short round tail appears at the side. Colour the inside and outside of each ear differently if desired. The broad belly and back-foot shapes offer larger spaces for crayons than the small facial details.

Narwhal in the Water

The narwhal has a rounded swimming body, small side flippers, a two-lobed tail and one long spiral tusk. A few curved water marks surround it without filling the page. Give the body and water different colours, then follow the broad spiral sections with a pencil if wanted. The whole animal and tusk fit on the single page.

Reindeer with Branching Antlers

The reindeer stands on four hooved legs beneath a fluffy neck. Two antlers branch into a few large rounded tines, rather than a dense set of tiny points. Colour the body first or begin with the antlers and ears. The feet, small tail and muzzle give other areas to choose without needing to follow a numbered colour scheme.

Print in Black and White

Both paper sizes contain the same eight pictures, with no extra cover in the complete file. Select the A4 or US Letter version that matches your printer paper and use portrait orientation. Fit to printable area is suitable because this activity needs no exact physical dimensions.

Check one page for the complete animal, the entire large name and the smallest projecting detail, such as the narwhal's tusk or reindeer's antlers. A black-and-white printer, ordinary paper and crayons or coloured pencils are enough. Use spare paper underneath when working with markers.

Make a Quiet Coloring Choice

Offer a choice between two animals for a small activity, or set out several pages for a shared table. Children may enjoy coloring the ice, branch and water while leaving some animals white; another child may prefer a bright imaginary animal. Neither approach needs a correct colour answer.

These sheets stay whole, so there are no pieces to cut, match or assemble. Display finished pages together, keep them in a folder or reprint one favourite for a later session. The large outlined words are part of the coloring space as well as the pictures.

You may print these files for personal, family and classroom activities. Share this resource page rather than selling or rehosting the PDFs.
