Cut nine straight-edged pieces and rebuild a teddy picnic. This printable set contains two different square pictures: a soft illustrated picnic and a lakeside scene with a teddy, ball, bucket and toy boat. Each picture has its own mixed-piece cutting sheet and a separate whole-picture reference.

Print One Puzzle and Its Reference
The pieces-only file contains two sheets, one per picture. Each sheet has nine square pieces in a shared-edge three-by-three block. At 100% each piece is 60 by 60 mm, making a rebuilt picture 180 mm square. A4 and US Letter use the same piece dimensions.

Choose the matching whole-picture reference from the separate file. Its image is smaller than the rebuilt puzzle, so it is a visual guide rather than a mat to place the pieces on. Keep the references on a screen if you prefer to print only the cutting sheets.
Prepare with Straight Cuts
An adult trims around the outside of the picture block, then cuts the two interior vertical and two interior horizontal lines. There are no interlocking tabs, individual rounded corners or headings inside the cutting sheet. The pictures are mixed within the sheet already; the printed arrangement is not the solution.

For sturdier pieces, use suitable card stock or mount the whole uncut sheet to plain card. Let it dry flat before cutting. Work with one picture at a time so its nine pieces do not mix with the other puzzle.
Build the Picture on a Clear Table
Spread the pieces face up beside the reference. Look for a recognizable part of the teddy or another large object, then find which piece continues its outline. Line up straight edges and check that details meet across the join. Build a three-by-three square with no gaps.
The lakeside picture includes a tree, sun, water, flowers and picnic objects. Use those landmarks as well as colors: two green pieces can belong in different places. If a child wants help, offer three pieces from one row first, then add another row.
Finish and Store Each Set
Compare the rebuilt picture with its reference and count nine pieces before putting it away. Glue is not needed to play; the pieces can be mixed and rebuilt again. Keep each nine-piece puzzle in its own envelope with the matching reference nearby.

The complete pack has four pages: two cutting sheets followed by two references. Print in portrait orientation at Actual size or 100% if you want the stated 60 mm pieces. If you use Fit to printable area, the puzzle remains playable but the pieces may be smaller. Check the first sheet for the full outside border before cutting.
