Join two printed pieces to rebuild a teddy, train, ball, kite, sailboat or rubber duck. This set contains six different whole toy pictures split into twelve half cards. The cards are already colored and shuffled on an easy-cut sheet, with a separate full-picture guide for checking the matches.

Cut the Twelve Cards
Print the card sheet once. At actual size it contains twelve 25 by 60 mm cards in a six-column, two-row block. Two correct halves placed together make a 50 by 60 mm card. Trim the outside block and cut the shared straight grid; no individual rounded corners need cutting.

For firmer cards, use suitable card stock or mount the whole uncut sheet onto plain card first. Let mounted paper dry flat before cutting. The printed letter beneath each half is an answer reference, not a matching pair code.
Find the Other Half of Each Toy
Spread the pieces face up. Choose a half with a recognizable feature, such as the teddy face, train body or kite shape. Look for a piece that continues the same picture. Put the left and right halves beside each other with their top and bottom edges aligned.
Check where the outline and colors cross the join. Two pieces can have similar background space but still fail to rebuild one complete toy. The correct halves come from the same original picture; no part needs to be stretched or turned into a different shape.
Start with Fewer Pictures
For a first attempt, choose the two halves of only two toys, giving four cards. Mix them face up and rebuild both pictures. Add another complete pair when you want a larger activity.
This is different from a face-down memory game: the halves stay visible while being matched. You can try funny mismatches before returning to the intended whole toys, but the supplied answer guide records the six complete pictures.
Use the Full-Picture Guide
The guide shows all six whole toys and the letter pair that rebuilds each one. Keep it aside until the pictures are matched, or use it as a reference during a first game. Matching by visual continuity is the activity; the letters allow an adult to check a choice without guessing.
Check that all twelve pieces are present when packing away. Keep them in an envelope or a flat container. No glue is needed to play, so the cards can be mixed and used again.
Choose Your Print File
The card-only file contains one sheet. The guide-only file contains one page, and the complete pack combines both. The guide can stay on a screen if you only want to print the cards. Choose A4 or US Letter to match the paper in your tray.

Use Actual size or 100% for the stated dimensions and check the first print for the full cutting grid. Fit to printable area can make smaller cards, but both halves scale together. Color printing shows the supplied artwork; grayscale remains an option if the matching outlines and details stay clear.
You may print these files for personal, family and classroom activities. Share this resource page with another adult rather than selling or rehosting the PDFs.
