Complete four front-facing half pictures: snowman, hat, sweater and a pine tree. Each activity prints the left side and leaves the right side for drawing. The dotted vertical line is the mirror axis. A separate four-page answer file shows the completed reflection for each picture in the same order.
Use the Dotted Line as Your Mirror
Print the Half Pictures file for the activity and keep Mirror Answers as a separate reference. Begin with the large outside shape. Choose a point on the printed side, notice its height and distance from the center line, and place the matching point at the same height and distance on the right. Join several matching points to build the missing curve or edge.
Work outwards from features that meet the center line. A nose, circle, roof point or body division on that line may be only half printed. Finish its missing half rather than drawing a second whole feature beside it. Use a pencil so you can adjust spacing before coloring.
Snowman
Complete the larger lower circle before the smaller head. Mirror the short arm so it meets the lower body at the same height on the right. The eye and curved mouth mark also need partners. The round nose and buttons sit on the axis, so only their missing halves should be drawn. Do not add duplicate full circles beside the center line.

Hat
The hat has a broad rectangular band, a taller cap above it and a small round pompom on the axis. Match the width of the band first, then draw the missing outer slope. The short upright lines inside the cap stop before its edge. Copy their heights and spacing while leaving the center guide visible through the middle of the finished hat.

Sweater
Find the shoulder, sleeve and side on the left before starting the right half. The sleeve projects away from the body and comes back in at the underarm. Mirror that inward corner instead of drawing a straight side from the shoulder to the hem. Complete the neckline, cuff mark and two body stripes. All of those details follow the same central reflection.

Pine Tree
Begin at the top point on the axis and work down through the stepped branches. Match each outward tip and inward notch with its partner on the left. The lowest branches are widest, with a short trunk below. Finish the trunk's missing half after the foliage. Turning the whole side into one sloping line would lose the three distinct branch levels.

Compare the Finished Reflection
Once the outside is complete, copy the smaller interior marks. Check each mark against its own partner: height first, distance from the center second, and the direction of any sloping line last. Reflection reverses left and right. A diagonal on the left will slope the other way on the right when both lean toward the center.
Use the corresponding answer page to compare your result. It shows one whole picture made from the same left half, including the interior decoration. You can color after completing the drawing; matching colors on both sides is optional. The complete PDF contains all eight pages, with the four half pictures first and their four answers after them. Print only the activity pages when you want to keep the answers aside.
Download the Printables
Choose A4 (210 x 297 mm) or US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches) for the paper in your printer. The two sizes contain the same designs. The complete file repeats the separate files in one convenient PDF; it does not add extra activities.
